The DIRAC Consortium was formed in 2014 and currently has the following partners:
- CNRS, France
- CERN, Switzerland
- KEK, Japan
- IHEP, China
- PNNL, USA
- University of Montpellier, France
- Imperial College, UK
The Consortium was founded to provide an open source software framework for building distributed computing systems. The DIRAC software framework is designed to create services for distributed computations in various environments such as grids, clouds and clusters.
The Consortium Agreement document describes the goals as well as terms and conditions of the parthership.
